GMC Password Portal Self-Service Tool (UnlockMe)

Description : This system allows end users to unlock their AD account and change their password. Users can use the website https://unlockme.nazarene.org  or the mobile app ADSelfServicePlus . The app is available for Android and iPhone. See Steps here .

  Accessing and Setting Up UnlockMe.nazarene.org

  1. Go to: https://unlockme.nazarene.org
  2. Log In In with your Username, enter the Captcha and click Login.

  3. Enter your Password (same as you use on your computer), enter the Captcha and click Login.

  4. Click on the Enrollment tab.


  5. Select Set Up under Security Questions & Answer .


  6. Select 2 Security Questions and supply your answers (you will enter the answers twice).
  7. Click Update .

Note: You can Hide/Show your answers by using the Check Box under the second question.

Note: There are 3 total authentication methods that can be used:

  • Verification Code (automatically setup with your email address)
  • Security Questions
  • Google Authenticator - See instructions on the next page

Setup Google Authenticator

  1. Click Set up under Google Authenticator on the Enrollment screen.


  2. Follow the steps provided.
  3. Click Verify Code .

Using Unlockme.nazarene.org - Account Unlock

  1. Go to: https://unlockme.nazarene.org
  2. Click on Account locked down?
  3. Enter your Username and the Captcha .
  4. Click Continue .


  5. Choose how you want to prove your identity and enter the Captcha .
  6. Click Continue .


  7. Fill in the required information based on the method chosen on the previous page.
  8. Enter the Captcha and click Continue .
  9. On this final page enter the Captcha and click Unlock Account .

Using Unlockme.nazarene.org - Forgot Password

  1. Go to: https://unlockme.nazarene.org
  2. Click on Forgot your password?
  3. Enter your Username and the Captcha .
  4. Click Continue .


  5. Choose how you want to prove your identity and enter the Captcha .
  6. Click Continue .
  7. Fill in the required information based on the method chosen on the previous page.
  8. Enter the Captcha and click Continue .


  9. Choose and enter a new password in both fields and enter the Captcha .
  10. Click Reset Password .

Password Requirements:

  • Must be 14 characters or longer
  • Cannot contain the user’s account name or part of the user’s full name that exceed two consecutive characters
  • Must contain three of the following four categories:
       a. English uppercase characters (A-Z)
       b. English lowercase characters (a-z)
       c. Base 10 digits (0-9)
       d. Non-alphabetic characters (ex. !, $, #, %). Any Unicode character that does not fall under the previous three categories

Access and Setting up ADSelfServicePlus App

  1. Install ADSelfServicePlus app from your app store.
  2. Launch the app and click on Server Settings


  3. Enable HTPS , enter unlockme.nazarene.org as the server name and 443 as the port.
  4. On Android , click Save . On iOS , click Done .

The app is now ready to be used. Please setup Identity Verification methods through https://unlockme.nazarene.org. See Steps here .


Using ADSelfServicePlus App - Unlock Account

  1. Open the ADSelfServicePlus app.
  2. Click on Account Unlock .


  3. Enter your Username and click Next .


  4. Choose an Identity Verification method and click Next .
  5. Fill in the required information based on the method chosen on the previous screen.
  6. On the final screen click Unlock .

Using ADSelfServicePlus App - Forgot Password

  1. Open the ADSelfServicePlus app.
  2. Click on Password Reset .


  3. Enter your Username and click Next .


  4. Choose an Identity Verification method and click Next .


  5. Fill in the required information based on the method chosen on the previous screen.
  6. Choose and enter a new password in both fields and click Reset .

Password Requirements:
